SolServices Kft.’s second own invested solar park will be built next to the settlement of Szászberek. The investment started in the summer of 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023 at the latest, from which time the  solar park will be connected to the public grid.

The importance of the project with a total installed capacity of 69 MW, which is located on the border of the settlement, is clearly demonstrated by the fact that, after its completion, it will be able to produce enough electricity to cover 21 percent of the county’s total residential electricity consumption. Its positive effect is also significant in terms of climate protection. Thanks to the application of environmentally friendly technology, we protect our atmosphere from annual emissions of approximately 20,000 tons of CO2, which is equivalent to the annual CO2 sequestration of 140 hectares of oak forest.

The implementation of the solar park is carried out according to the most modern paradigms of sustainability, which are friendly to flora and fauna. The most important virtue of a next-generation solar park is that it maximizes the positive impact of environmental protection: in them, the flora and fauna become stronger and more diverse, and the soil exhausted during decades of agricultural production is refreshed.
